This is exactly what is wrong with asmr nowadays. As i talked about lately. Younger asmr men just dont take asmr seriously. Asmr is not supposed to be about sex. Its not made to turn you on. Its made to make you fall asleep. I really dont get that sexual asmr trend. These sexual asmr men are trying to rebrand what asmr is about. You would never have seen these subjective sexual videos in the golden era of asmr videos. It started a couple years ago. These men dont need to be on youtube. How can you fall asleep when a man looks like he gives you an handjob. These men just need an onlyfans. Their content is wrong for the asmr realm.

This is the opposite. Everything that i said in that post shows that i know what real asmr is about. Asmr was never intended to be sexual. Asmr is made to help those who have a hard time falling asleep. Therefore asmr videos can help them. Thats the main purpose of asmr. Sex have nothing to do with it. Sex was just added by these money grabbers in the recent years. Most of them are straight. They do their usual gay bating stuff. Its basically gay for pay. In the end, they wants gay men to subscribe to their onlyfans. So these men are all about money. Asmr is just an excuse for them. Some unfortunate gay men still falls for it. These straight men dont even care about lgbt rights. But some gay men are still under the spell of these straight men.

Firstly – ASMR is a tingling sensation that people who experience it usually find relaxing, not necessarily sleep-inducing. While it is often used to help people sleep, that isn't what it is "for", in as much as it is "for" anything.
Secondly – people have been explicitly linking ASMR and erotica online for years, in fact since before the term ASMR itself was even coined in 2010. My point, which you either didn't understand or chose to ignore, is that people have been adding sexual elements to ASMR for a lot longer than just the last couple of years and it isn't something recently invented by "gay-baiters".
So, yes, ASMR isnt *supposed* to be sexual, its supposed to be relaxing, its supposed to feel good, I'd argue it can even be sensual, but not sexual. However, the claim that its only started happening in the past 2-3 years is bogus. Since 10 years ago when we were watching heather feather there was already sexual asmr content APLENTY, most of it, however, was women doing it. The trend of men doing it has indeed picked up more in the past couple years, but ASMR has always had people making it sexual.
