There is an argument to be made that very famous people with a lot of influence and wide reach might have a responsibility to speak up about important issues, because they might be able to make a difference. But certainly it's ridiculous to expect every single minor actor or celeb to issue statements about everything going on at the world at any given time. Some people are more informed and choose to speak, others do not.

This is very true, but Jack has actually spoken out briefly against Trump, and the importance of the actor's strike, so I don't think any of his fans can say he's silent on all political issues.
