While watching The Substance, I found myself pondering how the film might play out with the genders reversed—imagining Brad Pitt and Jacob in the lead role. I realize the narrative is deeply rooted in women's experiences, so it would need a different angle to resonate with male characters. But still, i want to see that version so bad.....
It's interesting that while male nudity in film is becoming more common, it still feels limited when it comes to well-known actors. Yet, I remain hopeful for the future.

The setting and concerns would have to be completely different if it focused on a male character. It'd be like a CEO who's being pushed out of his company. Something like Succession meets American Psycho. The male body doesn't mean the same thing to society that the female body does.

I agree, the concept could not work with a man without changing the plot/idea fundamentally (and that includes the nudity & sexualization). Sorry.
