Jaden Smith's Grammy Castle Headpiece Retails for $4,600
The
Grammys brings a broad range of artists together for one night to
celebrate a year in music. Amongst one of the attendees is
Jaden Smith.
Always known for his bold fashion choices, the 26-year-old artist rocked
a custom
Louis Vuitton suit in black, featuring a classic white button down
and a black tie to pair with it. While sleek and elegant, it was his headpiece
that made headlines.
Jaden paired his all-black suit with a custom-made vampire house headpiece
designed by Dora Abodi of Abodi Transylvania. The brand took to Instagram
to reveal the meaning behind the mysterious piece, “We custom made the
castle for his red carpet appearance at the Grammy Awards. The artistic
combines the mysterious elegance of ABODI Transylvania with a very bold and
modern design inspired by Transylvanian history and the vampire legends of
the Bathori.” In another caption, the brand explained, “The now famous ABODI
Transylvania Vampire Castle serves as a symbol of audacity, fortitude, and an
embrace of folklore and legends. It functions as a medium to recall childhood
and to retain a sense of playfulness and borderless creativity related to shapes,
fabrics, concepts, colours, textures, fashion, and art. Furthermore, it facilitates
the establishment of creative partnerships and the cultivation of individuals
who serve as sources of inspiration and motivation. ABODI, as an art and
fashion forward project, has always represented more than a mere fashion
brand; it is a designation that bears the family name, and a space where like-
minded creatives can congregate.”
