A lot of people were saying his acting wasn’t that great in Hollywood, and I kinda thought so too until the last episode. I completely understood him in those scenes with Jim Parsons. Very touching. I hope there is a season 2 so we can see more of him.

i thought his acting was pretty good tbh. he was portraying rock hudson in the time leading up to his stardom before he became that confident leading man hollywood loved during that era. rigid, insecure, stiff, unsure of himself, etc— seemed pretty on point to me

I think he did a good job in the mini series. He was playing someone who was a bad actor and I belived in him, so he was successful.

I don't think any of this is the case. I just think he knows that sex sells and that's a lot of the reason why people watch his shows. Hell, that's most of the reason anyone talks them about here or anywhere other than professional critics. I think by now if there were any credible rumors, cause there aren't other than people imagining things, we would have heard them.

I think we're getting a lot of these younger actors because his normal stable is way too old for this series which features a lot of people supposedly in their 20s. That was going to happen at some point. Many of them don't seem to be able to act very well because they don't have the experience.

Jake Picking had certain scenes where he was great, like with Joe Mantello, but the way they asked him to portray the character (kind of dumb and naive) may be unfairly making him look like he's a terrible actor. Only time will tell.

I know he's supposed to be straight, but whether an actor enjoys sex scenes or kissing scenes if he/she uses tongue. Sometimes you'll see two male actors kiss and they have their lips pressed together so that its as painless as possible, but sometimes, they'll stick their tongue out (watch Elite season 3) and you know they're enjoying it.

All I'm saying is, Jake went full tongue on his kissing scenes.

He was more than likely directed to do so, look at the gifs above. Aside from the first time all the other kisses were pretty standard smooches.
