1. Criss Strokes was doing gay porn before he knew Ace or became a straight porn performer. In every one of the vids Ace posted, Criss is aware they are filming; he's even holding the camera in one of them. I don't know how, in your brain, Ace releasing a vid of them is a leak. They weren't recording to make a documentary ... they're adult entertainers. They film for profit, so Criss knew what was up.
2. Ace has never presented as "queer as hell." Ever. He does not dye his hair every shade of the rainbow, lip gloss it up, suck his tongue when he speaks, use the word "gurl," get a fill-in, or any of a number of other things y'all hags with a capital F do.
3. Ace has come a very long way in his career. He came into this business as a pretty basic top who only got sucked and fucked. Although he has never changed his position in gay sex scenes -- and why should he when he's good at being a top -- he has done a 180 on his comfort level in gay porn. He is one of the most passionate out there now. He deep kisses, sucks dick (quite well), eats ass, gets rimmed. For him to be accused of being everything but a child of God off the word of a pretty boy hustler who in the same breath as he claims assault offers to sell the video of said assault -- it's just petty and asinine.
1. Criss was clearly high as hell in those few clips. He also rather obviously became a full-blown addict the last couple years of his "career". And those clips weren't posted for sale. They were "leaked", probably by Ace/Johnston. It doesn't matter that Criss started in gay porn or that he probably did stuff with people who weren't cis women off camera. The dude took advantage of his drug addicted, desperate friend/business partner/boyfriend.
2. This bit just comes off like insecure, femme-phobic nonsense. Even if you are "masc", people can often still tell often you're "queer". You can see his queerness in many of his expressions and the tone of his voice. While he was gay identifying when he first got into porn. And all those "American Pornstar" clips had hyper focus on the men and often felt homo-erotic, and it was very apparent Ace shot most of those clips himself. It was also apparent in his clips that he didn't have full-on attraction and passions towards women, as he's engaged with women mostly like they're sex toys. Anyone with sense could tell the dude was still very queer.
James Angel isn't the first performer to hint that Ace/John tried some things on them when they were shooting hetero porn. He's just the first to claim to feel victimized. Never mind how Ace/John went the "queer pride" route only once him and Criss fell out, and he needed other avenues to make bank. No one is claiming James Angel is an "angel". And I do sympathize with Ace/John's admitted mental health struggles and his obvious struggles with his sexuality, fluidity, paraphiliacs, gay shame, masculine insecurities, the gender, sexual, affection, romantic, emotion, commitment spectrum. But you gotta be naive or be dealing with your own types of internalized phobias and resentments to not see the bevy of red flags.
Oh, so now it's big bad Ace taking advantage of poor drug addicted Criss? Lawd, y'all will just invent anything to suit your preconceived notions. How can you "leak" something that Criss consented to record? What did he think Ace -- a known content creator -- would do with it? Criss was alert, aware, giving orders, clearly into it. He was not taken advantage of. He was enjoying himself and doing so for an audience. Why else would you consent to be recorded? Criss is nobody's victim.
Femme-phobic? Just invent words to create an agenda why don't you! I have nothing against femininity. I just pointed out that the known and accepted gay tropes are not found in Ace. You talk about the tone of his voice as an indicator of his queerness? He sounds like a man. There's nothing feminine or gay about his voice. Nothing. If he sounds queer to you, then EVERY straight man sounds queer to you. You're just delusional. It's clear that you see what you want to see. In reality, the man has never given any outward signs of queerness. If he wasn't doing gay porn and you saw him at a grocery store or the gym, there's absolutely no way you or anyone else would look at him and say, "He's DL, he's gay."
He has engaged with all his costars as sex toys. There's never been talk of him being in a gay relationship or showing any more affection or interaction with men than with women. You're already showing your resentment, bias, insecurities, how basic you are and how much you see things through masculine superiority and hetero normalcy. The dude clearly got some issues. He went directly into being femme-phobic when no one was even talking about that. All he did was highlight his insecurities. He's probably mad that folks can easily clock his own queerness despite his attempts at being super "masc". A lot of queer males deal with those types of insecurities and inferiority/superiority complexes. Hopefully he'll mature out of that. Even being a "straight passing" dude myself, I find those types of guys cringe-y as hell.
Anyways, I wouldnt anticipate James doing anything full-on with a guy on camera any time soon. And whatever he does is probably gonna be over-priced as hell on other people's sites/OF's. Despite the industry being more "open-minded" and despite so many of these guys being willing to do whatever off camera and/or being in the gender, sexual, affection, romantic, emotion, commitment spectrum, coming off legit into guys will still limit your hetero opportunities. And as we've seen with John Johnson/Ace and the dude just tried to defend him, there's still a lot of "DL culture" in the industry, a lot of dudes keeping their homo relationships low-key, a lot of gay shame, a lot of masculine insecurities, a lot of guys wanting female/hetero approval. That's even the case with guys with legit do homo porn. So, I wouldn't expect a shift.
