As I said, it's definitely ambitious and I'm not sure if I won't regret it by the end, because the DVD is absolutely huge.
Doing it all at once is completely unmanageable, so for now I did the first disc. I'll probably do unrelated scenes in between the parts. Hope I can manage to finish it.

I chose this one because I think it's one of those Japanese-porn-at-its-best moments, where we can see Koh just interacting with people, showing his personality and having fun without following any hard script. I do miss him in the Japanese gay scene.
Also needless to say, it's completely pointless without understanding it, so it feels more motivating to subtitle, too.

Enough said, GMS382 First Disc.
(Porn-wise I think only the last scene is worth it, but the DVD only works as one whole thing, so gotta do it in order)

When you stop to think about it, he was only active for like 4 years. It's insane how he did so many works and got so famous in such a short time.

While I do like him as a porn actor of course, I mainly miss him as a "gay star" in Japan. I mean, the whole NGM-scenes-thing has it's hot moments of course, but it was really nice to have a porn star who is openly gay, gives interviews, talks about his life as a gay man, does HIV activism, takes part in the lgbt scene of Japan, interact with fans in a positive way, etc.

In that sense, I do appreciate the work of people like Hiroya, for example. Who are not only doing their shootings, but also come to lgbt events, do modelling for lgbt-oriented advertisement, dance as gogo boys, etc.
(Even though I'm not really into Hiroya's scenes nor think he has one third of Koh's charisma, lol)

The way games, coat and other big studios work really cuts short any potential gay star from rising and turns sterile these definitely cute/hot actors so most vanish after 3 or 4 DVDs (that when they are successful lol).

Since you also asked what I used to translate it, I will try summing up what I have shared over several posts.

I am not using any translator. I translate it myself.

My current workflow is
1. CapCut for generating subtitles with correct timestamps (the contents don't matter).
2. Subtitle Edit for overwriting the generated Japanese with my English wording while keeping (or doing minor adjustments to) the timestamps.

I don't have any translation tool to recommend.
