They'd have to prove that he was paying for sex and not just paying for his time. I'm sure there was solicitation of prostitution occurring, as in, "Please let me top you! I'll throw in an extra $2,000!" But that was probably handled verbally and in person, so there is no trace.
The extortion was written out in messages that were handed over to the FBI.
All this to say, never leave a paper trail or put certain things into writing. Better yet, don't break any laws.

They don't have to prove anything because he admitted to paying for sex in his statements. He even said he was aware they could charge him with solicitation, but the DA chose NOT to charge him with anything. The judge even asked the prosecution if they were investigating the "victim" for the crimes he had admitted to under oath on the stand. The response was that it was appropriate to have that discussion in an open court.
How convenient that the wealthy Republican got away with a crime, while the queer immigrant sex worker got the book thrown at him.
PS: Burns was friends with Christopher Forbes, one of the former owners of THE Forbes Publishing Company. His name even came up during one of the statements. How lucky Burns was to have friends so powerful and influential, right?

Hey guys! I once had the pleasure to chat with him on Facebook back in the day before he went to prison. He told me he is Romanian, having been born in Arad, a city in Western Romania, and that he left the country for the United States when he was a 1 or 2 years old, so probably around 1990-1991. I was shocked to learn that he's Romanian, just like me! I tried to speak to him in Romanian but he told me he forgot the language and no longer uses it to communicate with his family. He apparently has many brothers and sisters, which I'm guessing that he's from a Pentecostal family, meaning he was brought up religiousily, and possibly he was abused by it, which makes sense why he had such a "colourful" life once he tuned 18 and got away from his abusive family. I found him to be a very fun guy to talk to, he was thrilled to learn that he was fans in his native Romania!
If this is what Romanian's look like, then I'm gonna need the Western Europeans to chill out on their Romanian slander, while I look at flights over there. Goodness, he's sexy.

I'll defend anyone who I think was not treated fairly by a Justice system that always benefits those with money and power.
You clearly have a bias against Jarec, for some reason, and you have decided to relentlessly hate on him. It's quite pathetic actually. If I don't like someone, I simply ignore them. I don't go to their threads and harass people who like them. That's even more pathetic.
You should move along, dude. Do something more productive or healthy with your time.
How was he treated unfairly though? Did or commit extortion or not? He was convicted. What does Burns wealth or status have to do with his crime that he committed?
