Jared Padalecki

According to Celebritynetworth.com Jared Padalecki's net worth is $13 million. Reportedly, he earned $125 thousand per episode. According to Golden Buffalo TV, Jensen Ackles made $175,000 per episode
Damn I was way off, but still that's a big figure for one episode even if they didnt start making that much until maybe season 6 or 7, they had up to 13 seasons was it and each season had 20+ episodes so yeah, Im sure they have money in the bank for a whole lot of rainy days

No way in hell an actor on a CW show is making 500K an episode. You are talking about close to 12 million a year for 22 episodes. Top actors on FOX, CBS, ABC, and NBC shows don't even cross that territory. Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon only made $1M per episode for The Morning Show. CW shows are the lowest rankings shows on TV. It's C-List.

Jared and Jensen didn't even get a producer or executive producer credit after doing the show for so long.
wow I was wrong in a big way (thanks for not being a douche about it btw lol ) but they never got producer credits? Not even in their final seasons?

Because he came into Supernatural an award-winning, Emmy nominated actor. He had the recognition behind him.
That's true, he did tv shows and movies before supernatural, hell his character Jason on Smallville was originally suppose to be in a few episodes and gone halfway through the season, no he was so popular they kept him as a main for a bit (now that I do know for a fact lol)

A little more realistic. The leads on a top show such as "This Is Us" are only making $250K an episode, and so its definitely not close to that range.

Ruby Rose who did Batwoman on The CW only made 60-75K per episode. Grant Gustin made close to 100K for The Flash. I agree with the $125K for Jared. For some reason Jensen has always had a higher salary.
sorry yall , i forgot to factor in the different networks. I mean the show is a mega hit, and for some reason I thought they were making bank, close to the big bang theory actors (those guys in their final seasons made a million (before pay cut on behalf of their costars) an episode) I thought it could be close to that, but i was way wrong thanks for jumping on me for it though

It was actually because he also directed episodes and was paid accordingly. Jared was the first billed on Supernatural in the beginning and remained first billed until the end.

No problem. But yeah. No producer credit, not even the final seasons. For Walker though, Jared is a producer on the show.

wow that's weird they didn't but hey they still made money and had a hit show. Before Supernatural smallville was the hit. Anyway Im sure Supernatural fans will go support Jared, they are some hardcore people, but I do like how their fanbase is supportive of one another, Ive seen instances in person and on social media of fans supporting one another going through struggles

that is very true, straight women would ship them more than gay guys would. (On a personal note I find it funny they'll fantasize and gush about two guys being together but will give hell to any bi/pansexual guy that dates them.....been there done that, why I stopped dating straight women)

Yeah. The fact that the vast majority of shippers are women needs to be factored in when discussing queerbaiting or representation. While accurate in general, I don't think it is a useful discussion to just say "we need more representation" or "female characters nee to be developed equally". Because literally no one is going to disagree with these points or add anything new based on this discussion.

This is similar to gay community's continued reaction to the show Big Brother. For years, gay fans have bemoaned "boring straight white men" getting far or even winning due to the fan vote and "misogyny of the voting public". They would echo points that really no one disagrees with such as mediocre men getting credit for things easily and women having to work harder for recognition and talk about how "frat bro egos" would never vote for women to win.

But... Big Brother's viewship and the majority of voting public were women. The success of white bread men on the show was because these women found them appealing and voted heavily for them. It doesn't feel right that, in these instances, gay men either tell women what is or isn't good for their gender or blame straight men for decisions that they really weren't that influential in. This is what a significant number of women want, they want to support male characters they find appealing and less often support female characters they find threatening or unrelatable. How can we, as gay men, claim to know better about what is feminist or empowering to women when the things we criticize or are trying to push out of media are what the actual female population asked for!?

they didn't get producer credit because they weren't producers.
whenever they directed episodes, they got director credit. you'd sometimes see directed by jensen ackles at the start of an episode

13 million after 17 season? That seems low.
it was 15 seasons. and networth is the total amount of what you own in assets. so things like houses, cars, etc., not actual money in the bank. most of those 13 million were probably for his house

God, Walker is just so basic. Like, I'm struggling to even skip through an episode to check for any skin shown. And still nothing on that front...

I haven't watched the second episode yet, and I'm not sure I want to.

My problem with this reboot is that it has nothing in common with the original show. It's not that I want a carbon copy of the first series. But if you are going to reboot a show, you have to take a defining characteristic from the original and build from there. In this case, that defining characteristic, the one that set the entire show apart from everything else, was the martial arts. I'm fine with Walker having parents and kids in the show, and I'm fine with him struggling to get over his wife's murder. I would even be fine with what I expect will eventually be the hunt for the killer.

But why bring back the name Cordell Walker if he's nothing more than a standard Texas Ranger? It makes no sense to me.

Also got to remember. They still have to pay their agents (I think it's like 10 or 15%), attorney fees, and public relations team. Jared and Jensen are also married with kids and their wives don't have active acting careers. $125K per episode is a lot money, but they do have major expenses. Most net worth is tied to real estate and both have beautiful homes. Here is Jensen giving a tour of his home in Austin, Texas.

It wouldn't have been $125 thousand per episode to start with. Probably much lower and then they renegotiate every few years when their contract expires.
They negotiated over the years and eventually settled to something about the same as each other. They also negotiated less hours and asked more actors to have more recurring or regular roles. Jensen may have made more because of the director credit.
