how likely is it that they continue to do the movie?

It’s doubtful, but not impossible. The production will likely be tied up in litigation for quite a while.

The Crow was still released after Brandon Lee’s death due to a similar accident, but I think it really has a lot to do with the family of the deceased and what their wishes are. There’s also the matter of how much was filmed before the accident.

I was under the impression they just started filming, maybe not even a month into production. So probably majority of the scenes haven't been filmed yet. So then when can they start production again and still have the actors available.
Or I don't know. I'm just a dude.

Well, it's a low-budget movie (and I think it's an independent production) and they started filming in the beginning of October, I wouldn't be surprised if the movie is eventually scrapped.

dylan obrein almost got his skull bashed and spent a long time in the hospital and needed facial reconstruction while filming one of the maze runner movies, and then once he was healed they finished filming to release the movie.
cancelling the whole production because of an on set accident can cost millions to the studio, they're gonna avoid that as much as possible

I don't think Rust is a project that's even close to the budget or scale of Maze Runner. I could see Rust being fully scrapped if the investigation leads to major charges against the producers or something. The film hasn't been in production that long and the producers are already allegedly having issues paying people.

The producer is also in the center of this incident.
Though it would be really interesting to actually watch the cinematography since Jensen complimented her work in his tribute.

We were all excited to see Jensen in a western. But not as excited as Jensen himself to star in one.
