I remember Jensen saying something like, keeping his shirt on, because the moment it was off, the studio and execs would keep wanting more and more and they would be shirtless all the time lol
Anyway, if you pay attention, Jensen isn't the kind of celebrity that is out there always showing his body (I'm jealous of Chris Hems. stans, they are always well feed lol), I think it's one of the reasons why people are very cautious about this nudity subject, because like, over the past 15 years, you can count on the fingers of one hand, the times Jensen was shirtless lol

I get them. Considering how shit the show got from Season 7, they'd have probably had them shirtless every 5 minutes, the way Riverdale has KJ Apa shirtless every moment they can to distract us from how awful the show is.

I don't think he has an issue with nudity but will only do it if it's needed for the plot

TBH, I feel like Jensen became more confident over the years, being married, having kids, he knows what matters to him, what is important in his life, he isn't afraid to embarrass himself in front of people, he isn't afraid of singing for fans, to record an album, and these are things he wouldn't do in the past, he was super shy and would get anxious, but he changed a lot, and like he said once, it had to do with becoming a dad, the birth of his first child changed him... and about Soldier Boy and nudity, everything was already written when he got the role, I think Eric Kripke was already working on the final 3-2 episodes of the season, so I assume he will be doing what was planned for the character, this wasn't role that was written for him.
