I read years ago an account of basketball coach Larry Knight making some kid on his team stand in the middle of the team in a circle and pull down his shorts to stand there in his jock. I should research that to see if it's true.
At least the guys in this film WORE jockstraps. That's heartening. I don't know this movie. Does the player get revenge on the coach?

I've never heard of this movie, but I'm always glad when a jockstrap is involved. Alas, that would never happen today.

And does the "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" scene remind of of the street-tough fans in... wait for it... West Side Story? Tough dudes with knives just dancing their hearts out on the street...
