I had no idea that LA's Shelter in Place didn't apply to them. Last time I checked Prep didn't protect against Covid 19.
Let me walk everyone through this. LA can't have nice things because of jokers like this. Lets go back to May 17th when Aaron was in Zion hiking and spending time with a group of 5 or 6 other Who Boyz. Before you go in on them for being in a National Park; Yes Zion was open, but only barely, and of course no one was wearing masks because they already sat in a car together on the way from LA to Utah. Travel from LA to Utah for what's obviously non essential is another story but I can only complain so much in one post.
So Aaron is with multiple people on May 17th, then leaves to go somewhere else between the 17th and the pool party they're having today at Darren's. The group Aaron was with continues on and gets together with even more people. Most notably Matt, and the two Wander Boy leaders Tino and Jake. Not distancing themselves, and of course not covering their summer bodies with a mask in anyway shape or form. 6ft apart? Not us. We're better than that. It now means we stand arm in arm in a body of water; the perfect vessel for spreading liquid based Covid 19 particles over a long distance. Cool. Noted.
Sean, Darren, and Joe are now at Darren's house wrestling and hugging and doing all the normal stuff platonic friends do cause its not like LA is still in the middle of a pandemic or anything and the sun feels so good and they deserve this. Who cares that LA is still in a dangerous zone with no changes to the stay at home order. We're young and beautiful and need a pool party. My social media interaction is going way down and I'm losing followers faster than you can spell quarantine. It's not like 21 people died in LA county on May 24th while Sean and Joe were fluffing each other. ( Spoiler, 21 people did die )
But wait, you know what would make this Memorial Day really fun. Let's invite more people over and ignore the rules for another day in a row. Hurry Darren, text Aaron.
You all know and have seen the rest. Its happening in real time right before our eyes. & before you complain that I'm bitter and jealous let me just say that I AM bitter and jealous. I would love nothing more than to drink a margarita by the pool right now. The sun IS shining, and it IS great weather. But at the end of the day I'm not willing to break the rules when our city isn't in the position to do that right now. All these people mentioned still have to get groceries, or fill up their gas tanks, or take Ubers, or walk their purse sized dogs. It's incredibly disappointing to see people breaking the rules and putting other people and themselves at risk while so publicly and selfishly showing off about it on social media.
If you're going to ignore our public officials and have a pool party maybe feel a little guilt and hesitation. Keep it low key instead of throwing your indiscretions up all over the internet. Not only are you selfish but you're ignorant and dismissive of the hurt and struggle that others are going through right now. A video of you making duck lips drinking booze doesn't make me feel better. It makes me feel disappointed, frustrated, and embarrassed for the people involved.
I won't be saying this to anyones face, because I'm socially distancing myself like I'm supposed to. However feel free to forward this onto Aaron, Joe, Darren or anyone else because they acting like trash right now and should know it. Be better. Do better. Stop being a selfish thot and take a look at your actions.
