I hope he gets more songs to sing in this then Wicked.

He has a duet with Cynthia and I guess that's it. There will be 2 new songs but IIRC Jonny said he's not singing in any of them.
And it's a big shame. The stage musical has 2 songs with Fiyero, OK. Got it. But when you have someone like Jonny in a movie you should give him even a small verse in one of those new songs.
I'm still gonna listen to Dancing Through Life anyway

They were not putting down the movie. Just identifying it rightfully as a blockbuster mass appeal type of movie that's been seen by a wide audience.

As opposed to the typical smaller Oscar bait movies that are branded as more complex and few people have actually seen.

It annoys me that movies like this rarely actually win oscars. It's usually the more serious ones that win big awards like that even when things like wicked or Barbie for example deserve it

I know about Wicked and Dune 2. My point was that the best picture nominies only have 2 big studio movies nominated. The rest is independent movies. Which is boring compared to the Oscars from the past who often only had or mostly had big studio movies nominated for best picture. Its clearly a independent movie who will win the best picture this year. Fast X is only an example. The point is, i would rather see big blockbuster movies win best picture than another boring indy movie. The 2021 Oscars were unwatchable. All the movies were boring indy movies. The 2021 Oscars were the worst. The 2022 Oscars were better. Blockbuster movies are also deserving. For the action, special effects, music, choreography, ect... I have a feeling that the Oscars willbe boring this year.

Just finished fellow travelers. Was it a good , fun and importantly educational series ? Yes. Was tim and hawk incredibly toxic ? Also yes.
Great sex scenes tho and real chemistry.

Which is a real horror movie. The Oscars would be so much more interesting if they would mostly nominate big blockbuster movies. I would describe the substance as horror comedy. There are clear comedic elements to the film as well.
