I think it’s a wise move, it’ll stop the vote being split. Plus, arguably MB is the lead. I’d say a joint love story obviously but if you had to judge, Hawk carries the story. It’s his life we are following more often than not. We see a lot of the story through his eyes. I think they are both brilliant in this, I really hope they get some awards!

He's very guarded about his personal life. He mentioned being on Tinder in an interview years ago, when he first came out. However, he more recently said in an interview with Andy Cohen he's not on any of the apps; alluding that if you see 'him', it's probably a catfish.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's got some ironclad NDAs in place. And really, who could blame him?
I can't believe I'm saying this on LPSG of all places. But, JB is one of those attractive gay figures for whom I'd feel actively outraged if their nudes—or other intimate details about their life—got out without their consent. He's such an affable, talented, and open person, and there's nothing to suspect it's insincere. I feel like unwelcome disclosures would be hurtful for him. I just don't want that on my conscience.
Let's keep the dick-piggery to the stuff he's comfortable sharing.
