Don't get too comfortable. Given the context for what's happening in the rest of the trailer, I'm pretty sure that shot is from a vision that his character his having and not the actual Rand.
Yeah, it’s definitely him having a vision through the eyes of his predecessor. You can tell the outfit and the architecture are from the distant past before the breaking of the world when their society had high tech and magic.

Yeah, I was trying to be as vague as possible since not everyone in this thread may be familiar with the story and where it's heading, but you're basically saying what I wanted to.

His character in WoT shaves his hair to try to hide that it’s red. Actors have no control over their hair styles because they have to keep it a certain way for continuity. But also I personally think he looks fine with a crew cut, or whatever that is, lol.
I like his kinky fro. There's nothing wrong with his hair texture. I think he gets his hair from his Slavic background. I wish he'd grow his curls out again.I’m in the opposite camp – keep that shit shaved, or very close-cut. Josha got a really kinky fro when he lets it grow out, trust me - just watch his work as a child actor.
