Personal opinion, the producers of this soap missed an opportunity with him to create a decent gay character.

A kind of character never seen in a soap whose center is a fashion company

As a huge B&B fan I can only agree. Unlike other soaps, B&B never had any viable, long-term gay romances. Karen and Danielle (Caroline's mothers) was the only gay couple I remember in 38 years, and it was a very secondary, rushed and short-lived storyline. But still no gay males.

Joshua is gorgeous (though my favorite is Matthew Atkinson) and his character gave me gay vibes from day-1. The whole romance with Luna was kinda boring. He should have come back with a guy or they should have brought another young man for him. Very big missed opportunity. It can still happen I guess.

Unfortunately the show doesn’t know what to do with the character. It was KKL’s idea to bring RJ back but I think he’s been miscast. Josh should have been brought on as a new character because he didn’t fit the role of RJ.

This show always brings in someone new, uses them a lot for a couple months straight, then backburners them once they’re over the flavor of the month. I’m surprised the current Zende is still there, doing nothing.
