Does his bartender character just appear as a guest in one episode?
Actually now that I think about it, the bartender character being Julian Moore strongly suggests that he has a longer story arc down the line. Bradley (Witherspoon) is a rising public figure in the show, so her random sex with Andrew (Moore) can later blow up.
But to answer your question, yes this is the first time he appears and it's only a few minutes.
I didn't know about this rule... great show regardless.
I think we'll be seeing more of his character, I'm guessing this was just the introduction
