Justin Hartley

Yeah in my experience (both personally and I am friends with a LOT of actors) an actor’s sexuality and the parts they play do not intersect. At all. Maybe if you’re in the highest of high echelons and you get to pick and chose what you do and how often you work, and have the financial security to start producing yourself, you can start to intersect. But that’s a super small list and psychologically it takes actors decades to get comfortable and confident about that.

Almost all actors approach roles with the assumption that this might be the last job they ever get. Irrational, yes, lol, but not entirely, because for every role you land in a given year there’s 20 you don’t - if you’re lucky.

Anyway, that’s why I never let my curiosity about an actors sexuality be impacted by the kinds of roles the actor plays. It can enhance fantasies for sure, and may be based in some truth, but they don’t intersect on a practical level.

“I want to play this part because I AM this” isn’t what drives an actor (tbh the opposite is more appealing to most if not all actors; actors get off on bringing to life roles that require them to be different people, and playing yourself makes actors very uncomfortable; you can think you’re perfect for a part but it won’t be because it’s you in real life, it’ll be because you’re skilled at playing that kind of role convincingly). “I need to pay my rent/mortgage and not starve” is the driving force.

I agree with this. I think a lot of them just go with the part that they like or are called for. Something that interests them. And if they don’t get that particular part then they’ll get something else that is available if they want it. Some of them even like the parts that they weren’t originally supposed to get. I definitely believe that he did good portraying a gay character. Revenge and this movie. Plus I mean come on, for some actors it’s just hot watching them make out with the same sex. I feel like every male actor should play a gay character at some point. Well obviously they don’t have to if they don’t want to, but I feel like it gives them range. And make some more versatile. And it’s sexy if done right.

Ah...I've met Justin several times and he is actually an awesome guy, very down-to-earth...will spend as long as possible posing for photos...yes, he is a little self-involved, but many actors are. He divorced his wife because she was fucking around on him. He told me this very directly the second time I met him--he was very upset over this. Others may have had different experiences with him, but that is mine.

I'm not sure where you would get that based on what I wrote. I said and I believe that he is very down-to-earth, approachable and a good guy. I didn't see any instance of fame getting to his head...and believe me, I've seen that from other celebrities. He also seems like a very good father as he talked about his daughter quite a bit.

You never met him. Please. He thinks he’s an A Lister now. He’s a soap actor who got lucky to land a role on prime time because of his looks.
I work in film. I have met him several times and I'm willing to bet you money and offer proof. It's so annoying that people who do have experiences with celebrities get called out here which only makes us not want to post anything. As it has been stated, lots of actors have done soap operas and gone to bigger careers...including Oscar winners, Brad Pitt, Marisa Tomei and Julianne Moore. So stop being an ignorant asshole. You are the one who hasn't met Justin and you have zero knowledge or info on anything about him. I never understand ignorant people who think they know everything and luxuriate in their own stupidity.

Snapped lol :eek::cool:

ok this might sound weird i had a proper wet dream with Justin Hartley last night, the weird thing is i wasn't watching anything with him on, i don't even like him that much, it was just so random.

the dream: he was wearing like these tiny white speedos in a movie set or something and i was next to him (i am an actor there? not real life at all) and no one is the crew was watching so i slide my hand to his speedos, and then yea...

lol

A lot of gay men detest good looking successful white men who make good on TV and film.
The Supernatural guys cop it a lot two.
It's some kind of bitter envy at the success of others.
Good luck to them I say that they got the pretty gene and a level of talent to make it big.
Some queens cant tolerate that, though.
