I would love to see another season of the show, but it's on Netflix.... and they seem to be doing everything they can to go bankrupt lately. So even though it's probably the best show they have going for them right now, they'll probably cancel it.

I would say the show will most likely get a 2nd season considering the response. Beyond that, I actually think its the cast that might not sign up for. I have not read the graphic novels, but it seems they don't grow old much, and the cast will most likely explore more mature roles. I can see Kit wanting to do other things, so is Sebastian.

But yeah netflix has me worried not just for this show. I wished amazon or HBO max had picked this up instead, they are more stable lately.

I can see why they cast him.

But if they are making another season they better hurry up cause he is growing so fast.

For real. I've been watching cast interviews on YouTube and he's looking more mature and way more jacked from just a year ago while the others look pretty much the same.

Relax, it will get a second season. It’s successful and it’s incredibly cheap to make. The most expensive thing in the show was probably Olivia Colman’s ten minutes of screen time lol.

At the same time some of you seem to be overstating the success of this show. It is successful yes, but it’s a relatively small show and it’s numbers likely don’t compare Netflix’s higher profile shows.

still, it seems like three season is all that would be required to adapt the graphic novels, and 3 is Netflix’s magic number.

Alice has said Four seasons would neatly fit up to where the comics currently are.

Netflix on socials have also been making a ton of content about heartstopper, which is a good sign of an intended renewal.

also looks like the cast may be working on a Music video for baby queen’s colours of you, so be on the look out for that

It's too vanilla and wholesome for HBO lol

Sesame Street, Looney Tunes and Nancy Draw and tons of others is on HBO.

That is good. Though I don't know how since they shot just 8 episodes from literally 2 volumes.
A second season I would say is guaranteed. I'm not sure about the third.

Compared to Ozark, etc. sure.
But I wouldn't say its "relatively small", its literally Netflix's top new show, and one of the top new shows in all platforms.

Ozark is also an already established show with seasons three times as long as heartstopper’s. Also sitting at #5 globally is still a pretty big deal. I wouldn’t say it’s game of thrones but for the cost I’d say it’s a pretty big hit my Just my opinion.

I guess I should have clarified when I said Heartstopper was probably the best thing they have right now on Netflix. I meant the best show that has any type of future there. Ozark is great, but it's done now. Schitt's Creek is leaving the platform. Heartstopper is a reason for people to consider keeping Netflix - and there's just not a lot of those reasons out there lately.

Anyway, back on topic though... this thread is about Kit Connor. I think he's a fine actor and I am curious to see what he does next... whether its something on Netflix or not.

She’s still writing volume 5 (you can read some pages on her tumblr or her Patreon) and there’s also the books “Solitaire”, “This Winter” and “Nick and Charlie” that features them. So I think there’s plenty of material for 4 seasons or more. Season 2 will probably adapt volume 3 and half of volume 4 (around chapter 5)
