From a quick Google, they most likely could be, which might go some way to explain the absence of pubes in that cruise video with Jojo, where he pulled his shorts out a bit and you got a quick glimpse of where his pubes should be.
That would make some sense but... I feel like he's just SUPER hairy down there... and has not shave otherwise no girl would go anywhere near him.
