Please consider creating separate categories for the erotic stories. At least two categories: one for straight stories and one for queer stories so we can also have the bi ones in there. So many stories start with a man and a woman and at times there is no way of telling how it will develop (especially if the title is vague too).
I'd start reading a story, note the clear tensions introduced early on between two guys and feel disappointed when that part of the story doesn't go anywhere. The story might have been perfectly enjoyable otherwise but not if I'm sat there wondering if I was being queer baited again. I'm OK with the straight bits a lot of the times. I'll even tolerate annoying elements if the rest makes up for it but only if I know what I'm getting into and not when I'm in the mood to read a queer story.
Apologies if this has already been addressed but please consider it as another endorsement for it.
I hear you. I just had a quick look at the other replies (why didn't I do that before?!) and noted that many others are requesting this feature. I agree that it would be nice to have a category for solo also and a separation of true stories and fiction so the comments aren't filled with, this doesn't sound real or they don't have to start with, this is 100% true.I think you hit a common point. I feel the same but opposite theme. I think it’s going to be a straight story and it begins that way and then goes in the other direction and is all gay male sex. Have the search be able to separate the two.
Absolutely. In fact, I just came here to search for a story subject this way only to find I couldn’t. I’d love to see it searchable.I've always been a big fan of stories. I'm just curious how much demand there would be for this.
Are you guys happy with the way this section is or would you like to see it built out and made fully searchable?
Your categorization won't work. What about masturbation stories? Bisexual? In which category would you place a threesome?May 2020:
"Would You Like to see an LPSG Stories Section Built Out?"
June 2022:
"That turned out well..."
Seriously though, this cant be that difficult, i mean i get it, it doesnt bring money and sponsorships (it could tho)
*split in gay & str8 categories
Most authors love to know how their work is perceived. You'd be taking away what they get out of publishing a story on here.*clean up all the "bump"/"any update"/ "love this story" nonesense posts
And someone is going to move all these threads from WIP to completed manually at some point? I don't think so. Authors themselves should link their story parts to one another and make sure it's reader-friendly. A framework post & short "how to" as a sticky on top of the stories section could be helpful.*have 1 section with completed stories and 1 with work in progress
Fully agree on requiring from now on going forward that a minimum number of tags is required, depending on the story theme(s). I don't think anyone from staff has time to add tags to all the existing stories. It's not something you could automate.*add some basic tags like "condom/bareback,1st timers, no sex, poppers/legal drugs, group, romance, bisex)
i didnt say those were the only categories, and the categories are not silos, they are like tags, Bisex,Group for example on what you mentioned. a mastrubation tag can be added, interacial, etcYour categorization won't work. What about masturbation stories? Bisexual? In which category would you place a threesome?
add a voting module at the start, this can work both like a rating system, and give the writers their feedback, altearnatively, once per year, all completed stories posts can be re-aranged with the stories first, in all their parts, and then all the bump, bump, any update? postsMost authors love to know how their work is perceived. You'd be taking away what they get out of publishing a story on here.
i am not aware on how much work Mr. LPSG wants to commit to this, moving and cleaning up the threads would be ideal, but hyperlinking one part to the other as well as having editable 1st posts to tags can be added as the story evolves could be another oneAnd someone is going to move all these threads from WIP to completed manually at some point? all solutions require time and effort, but there was a poll by Mr. LPSG and it was overwhelmingly showing that the section could benefit from some cleanup. if there is no time and effort available well, then the whole discussion is pointless innit? btw, some of the tasks can be automated like connecting or at least sorting the posts by time and size, the difference in comments and chapters is pretty distinct.Fully agree on requiring from now on going forward that a minimum number of tags is required, depending on the story theme(s). thats probably gonna nuke 95% of the stories, i dont think most of the authors are still active in the forum.Perhaps throw them in a subfolder "archive", with the mention that authors have 3 months to weed out their own and repost with the correct tags and otherwise, they get deleted?
Like stories too! They are powerful for imagination!I've always been a big fan of stories. I'm just curious how much demand there would be for this.

I think you can post any story, as long as it doesn't contain themes that are illegal or against site rules. BDSM is perfectly legal between consenting adults. You may want to tag your story when posting.Im just scared to death to post anything, anywhere and get judged.
Here or Literotica or anywhere else.
Can I post BDSM?
BDSM is definitely allowed and members like myself would love it.Im just scared to death to post anything, anywhere and get judged.

"Accidentally"?I accidentally wrote a 150 page gay bdsm novel this past year, and Im so scared to set it free into society
Its a LONG story. Started in June 2021 with a celebrity interview in my recommendeds on YouTube, moved to a non sexual sweet daydream, then became sexual but vanilla, and I started writing a one page short story, then whipping was introduced and, well........ LOL"Accidentally"?
Why are you afraid? What could you be afraid of?I accidentally wrote a 150 page gay bdsm novel this past year, and Im so scared to set it free into society
Afraid that ppl will think its crap. Or something like that. Its what all writers go thru. Its not just a porn thing. Why are you afraid? What could you be afraid of?
