I mean yeah, I've seen so many people on this site with the mentality of, "Well it's dumb to make porn and not expect it to leak so they have it coming." But a lot of these people are just regular guys that work office jobs etc, so the only way for them to do it is if it remains a secret. Not everyone is a professional pornstar that doesn't mind having their nudes all over the internet. For some people leaks really are a dealbreaker.
