According to a motion filed today by Luigi Mangione’s Pennsylvania attorney, Mangione’s arrest at a McDonald’s in Altoona, PA, involved a heavy police presence. “At this time, it is believed that ten police officers surrounded the defendant in the small dining area.... Both officers from the Altoona Police Department continued to interrogate and question the defendant without reading him his Miranda rights.”

There's a lot of his female fanbase who love to shame other women and (especially) gays constantly about wanting to have sex with him. Of course, the case is serious but at the end of the day, NO ONE except his immediate family or friends know him personally, not even if he's really innocent or not; people will naturally react on what they see.
His looks is the MAJOR reason why people care about the whole case in the first place.

They love to shame people but are also the main one doing those stupid edits on TikTok and finding his childhood pictures or videos EVERY DAY, and posting all of those all over social media, saying stuff like "hope you'll have a good night boo" or "he's too precious", "my princess", "my Shayla" like bitch, you wouldn't do all that if you didn't find him cute in the first place.

I hate the hypocrisy of it all. Sorry for the rant and the essay lol !

The reason he gets so much support is definately not only because of the story but because he is MALE, WHITE, and HOT. Change any of this 3 caracteristics and he would get way much blame or "i dont care" reactions

I haven't seen any accusations by his attorneys yet that the evidence was planted. The summary of Dickey's arguments are along the lines of improper questioning and improper search and seizure. In his first court appearance, Luigi did not dispute the evidence with the exception of the amount of money found on him.

Dickey and his New York lawyer have stated that they have not been able to examine the evidence. I don't know definitively if Dickey is representing Luigi in the New York state charges.
