What is it?watch the movie, there's a twist to Lukas' character
His face is looking...off?
Alright, let's stick to reality here. He was in a fight "trying to be the hero" and got his teeth knocked out and has veneers. Zero claim or indication of it involving "gay bashing". It could have been some redneck, backwoods beer-fueled fight over a girl for all we know. He says he has scars around his mouth but he absolutely did not have his face "Completely Reconstructed" nor did he ever claim anything remotely like that. You do know he was severely beaten during a Gay bashing incident (supposedly sticking up for a friend) and had his face completely reconstructed afterwards don’t you?

Though he has recently talked about having botched Botox in the past. So if his face looks a little bit different recently, it's probably because he's changed his face a little bit recently.
Interesting. That "V Magazine" article didn't show up as a result when I tried to verify what you said. It's weird that isn't part of his past talked about more. All I found were variations of the People article you mentioned and a short video clip. I wouldn't be surprised if he embellished the story a bit for that v magazine interview. But hell, I might be wrong about that tooA near-death assault prompted him to pursue an acting career.
At 18, Gage and a friend were assaulted at a party, prompting him to follow his dreams after having an epiphany in his hospital bed, he told V Magazine in March.
"I was at a party, and my friend got beat up for being gay. I jumped in to protect him, and I got beat up, [too]. I broke my orbitals, my nose, my jaw ... eight of my teeth got knocked out. I [had to get] my face put back together," he said. "I had this moment in the hospital where I thought, 'If I die, will I have done everything I wanted to do?'"
All About Lukas Gage, the Actor Who Called Out a Director for Dissing His 'Tiny Apartment' on Zoom
People magazine is not the most reliable, but far from being reactionary tabloid. I do think there’s more to it then what’s here, this was before he came out, so he positioned it as defending a friend rather than perhaps them being a couple, or it being because he was Gay too. I think it will be the centerpiece of the memoir coming out later this year. But it sounds far from having a few teeth knocked out. And then having to play a scene in Euphoria where he was brutally beaten is devastating if you have PTSD and who wouldn’t?
My observation has nothing to do with this - I'm talking about how his face looks now vs. a few months ago. Maybe just too much filler? You do know he was severely beaten during a Gay bashing incident (supposedly sticking up for a friend) and had his face completely reconstructed afterwards don’t you?
