Please say more!Every night after work we have a big communal shower. I show with my whole crew. ages from 18 to 60 in there.
Have you seen your boss, coworker, work buddy fully naked? Have they seen you? Such as in a change room, showers, etc?
There’s something about shared spaces like a sauna that really brings people together the whole “no barriers” thing. I imagine working on a cruise ship with such close quarters would make that kind of setup feel pretty normal after a while. And bonding over a sauna session, especially while cruising into a city like Stockholm, sounds like it made for some memorable stories.I've seen many of my work mates naked including friends of course. I was working on a cruise ship long time ago. The ship was originally build in Denmark and had no sauna onboard. So when it was bought to Finland a sauna was built there. So we often go to sauna after work. Everybody naked of course regardless of department or rang and the shower area was also open. It was a not very big ship, not like the super big ships cruising in the Caribbean where the biggest ones can take ~6000 passengers are built in Finland. I'd say the sauna was good for staff bonding apart from keeping us clean. After arrival to Stockholm and when all passengers left, we could go out and sit naked on the sundeck in the very center of the city!
Yes it's very nice. We were only about 70 in staff, compared to today's cruise ships that can have 2500-3000 in staff! We took 1200 passengers for day cruises. Mostly men only in sauna, but happened that a female also joined. I don't remember that our captain joined, but generally staff from all departments go together. Very good workmates and general feeling onboard! There’s something about shared spaces like a sauna that really brings people together the whole “no barriers” thing. Haha, sounds like you’ve got quite the setup there! It must keep things interesting with new coworkers coming in, and it definitely adds a different level of camaraderie to the job. It’s funny how quickly everyone adjusts to that shared routine. It’s one of those quirks that probably doesn’t happen in many workplaces but makes for some great stories and memories.i shower every day with my co-workers after shift...always happy when a new one starts working
Sounds like you were part of a close-knit team it’s great to hear that everyone got along so well! The smaller crew size must have made it easier to form strong connections and maintain that friendly atmosphere onboard. And it’s interesting to imagine a setup like that, with staff from all departments mingling in the sauna. Those are the kinds of experiences that make life at sea so unique.Yes it's very nice.
