I don't think so.
It will sound cheesy, but from what I have observed through the years I get the feeling Mark is a protector. I think that is one of the things Mark probably found endearing about Ethan. It makes Mark feel good that he can be around if Ethan needs someone to save him.

Cheesy, but that's how I feel about Mark.

I really like these two and I've been following them since the beginning. I did however get a sour taste in my mouth when Mark would go around asking people if they thought he looked straight, as he seemed to take particular pride in passing for a hetero. When they started called themselves 'dudes' on their IG stories (as in, "just two dudes hanging out with Puppy" a year back or so) I had to take a break from them. It seems like Mark especially really worships this kind of macho quarterback straight guy-next-door image and strives to be it, and come on.. who on earth would call them and their partner "dudes" lol. You're a fucking gay couple, not characters from an American Pie movie.

Gay to a certain standard? I couldn't care less about the manner in which people are gay (or LGBT at large, for that matter). All I stated was that I find it very sad that they'd call themselves "bros" and not what they are - boyfriends. Be gay in any way you want - it's just sad to pretend that you're "straight dudes."
Anyway I guess the bro jargon feeds into some kind of college jock fetish and that's why you think being critical of it "needs to stop, seriously"?

are you serious? You are on here saying calling someone bro = straight acting/college jock fetish. That no gay guy anywhere can/would call their friend or lover "bro" in all seriousness and if they do of course they are trying to appear as straight and are v. v. v. poor gays indeed... you need to stop.

Tbh straight acting (if that's the word) ain't bad, I don't know why everybody is against it. If one wants to be masc, go 4 it.

Please stop with the cringey gifs. I didn't say calling someone bro means you are straight acting. I said Mark IS straight acting (which is completely fine, I just think he seemingly takes pride in being "straight" which is sad) and then I also said that they're calling each other bros - I never said that because they call each other bros they're "straight." Please don't put words in my mouth to further your claims.
