He didn’t have the talent to pull off that role anyways. And this is from someone who’s not a huge ‘Brokeback’ fan. While I highly doubt he was ever naive enough to think he wasn’t being lusted after by dudes. Like I said in a previous post, I get the sense he’s let a few dudes touch on him for opportunities in his early career. That’s probably why he used to talk about relating to his character in Boogie Nights and also partially why he’s given homophobe and gay panic vibes since his success as an actor.
