Markiplier

Definitely gonna miss Unus Annus- I hope he does similar content on his main channel next year! I will say I do think he has ego issues and I'm happy ethan is going to be spending less time with him. When he would be mean to ethan as a bit it was never funny to me and there were a few times where it really didn't feel like a bit it felt like him talking down to him, and I feel like he should have already learned his lesson by now on how to treat his friends after what happened with supermega. If he had no history of treating his friends he worked with badly then maybe I wouldn't have thought anything of it but ehh.. it looked bad. Either way I'm happy for them and I hope next year goes well for them.

i mean unnus annus is basically the series he had with ethan and tyler on his channel, markiplier makes, except it had the theme of death. tyler didn't join because his mom had just died and he didn't want to spend a whole year making death themed videos.
mark 100% has an ego issue, which he seems to be aware of. there was some video of the early covid days, when they were in their offices each, facetiming each other, and mark admits he's egocentric(i think he might've used self centered, but same thing).
i never liked the whole bit of him talking down on ethan. i don't understand how he ever thought that's funny. literally acting like your friend is beneath you and that you're much better than them. it's fine if it's a one time joke, but it was basically any time they were doing any type of competition type video, mark would start it. like the stereotypical mean girl that always talks down to her friends

Well, he thinks it's funny to be portrayed as the asshole and have that as an opportunity to elevate Ethan. It does work sometimes but only if there's a wink and a nudge. He's so "committed to the bit" it just comes across as straight asshole instead of tongue in cheek. And he's kind of obsessed with elevating Ethan. Like yes he's young and similar to you but also he's probably infatuated with you and let it go a bit?

We need: less of him talking and more of his bulges

It was the persona they wanted to create, they both said in and out of video that they scripted some part, especially they whole persona thing.

He is Egocentric for sure but he does genuinely care for others and for Ethan.

i know it's a persona, he's mentioned in several videos that it's a bit. and often times you can tell it's a bit. but it's a bad bit, it's a bad persona choice. and only some of it is his persona, in part it's him pushing others through competitiveness.
mark is super competitive, so he uses that as a basis for the persona. that if he's the asshole that acts like ethan's not good enough, that'll push ethan to do better to prove him wrong. but that's something that only works with super competitive people like himself. most people aren't like that, and someone talking to them in such way has no positive outcome. with most people, you're not going to get them to do better by telling them how shit they are, you're gonna affect them psychologically and make them think they're no good

Ehh I think they could have gotten MORE homoerotic. There wasn't any like kissing or anything sensual.

The "koala tiktok challenge" might be close.
I just meant like - shirtlessness, short shorts, wrestling, anything showing off their butts and muscles, compromising positions, etc.

I don't understand why people fetishize the idea of two straight men getting it on but that needs to stop. It's gross. Mark has a gf and Ethan did at one point (truth be told he may change but idk that's his choice and not my business to care about tbh). Y'all thirsty hoes is nasty. The same thing happened with Seán and Mark a few years back meanwhile the Wattpad users are still wildin out with Septiplier bahaha. It's just weird to wish two people together like that. Like keep that shit to yourself. And idgaf with what y'all say it's still fucking weird. Quit being closeted fanfic writers and go do something for yourself. Bahahaha

Not really. It happens a lot in a contact sport like wrestling and not because of the other person, but just because of the activity itself and things rubbing against your crotch.

Fetishizing is very different from real life shipping though. Imagine people flagrantly talking about you fucking your best friend or some random guy you work with and posting about it wherever you'd see it (because shippers are fucked up like that).

Oh I wasn't saying I think it's ok just that that's how the celebrity culture is. I think it's weird when people take it to far, like shipping is fine but then commenting on vids and stuff or saying that they are hiding their relationship is weird.

i don't think there's an issue with shipping real people as long as the shippers keep the same boundaries as for fictional characters.
if you ship fictional characters that aren't canon, don't bother the actors playing them about it, they're not involved in the writing and have no power over it, you're just putting them in a bad spot.
so when it comes to real life shipping, just don't bother the people about it. go on blogs, forums, whatever, and talk about it there with others who are also into it, just don't directly talk to the people being shipped about it. and especially learn to separate reality from fiction. as someone that's been involved in fandoms for many years, i've witness plenty of times people having no respect for the partners of the people they're shipping and completely harassing and disrespecting girlfriends and wives all because they're in the way of the ship. if you wanna create scenarios where a guy in a relationship cheats on his gf/wife to fuck a dude go ahead and do so, but keep it to the fandom, don't go tweet at them or post it on their ig
