Nothing is just porn.
why do you think a lot of these guys become suicidal? they are obviously struggling with their sexuality. just because people want to get a nut doesn’t mean that it’s just porn. They are human. you can’t do sexual activities with men and expect no consequences like it’s a hobby

I wish we knew enough about mental disorders to know we are out of our depth and that this sort of ill informed arm-chair diagnosing does more harm than good. Imposing your own issues, views or assumptions about how his depression might relate to his appearing in porn or being secretly gay. Much more likely is that he struggled with Major Depressive Disorder both before and after his porn career. Managing that condition is difficult. And our medical health system was broken before Covid and is more now.

And you don’t think that dealing with your sexuality plays a part in depression when society tells you you’re evil for being gay? Especially for a guy like him who is “assumed straight” and seen as a “waste” by a lot of straight men & women? And Churches? That does have a heavy toll. No, do any of us know the exact reason why he tried to commit suicide? No. But it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that he has struggled with his sexuality and that seems to be one of the common facts in black man suicide and it shouldn’t be ignored. The signs are there and I’ve personally dealt with it with people I know.

Of course struggling with one's sexual identity can be a contributing factor, as can breaking up with his GF and many other "big” changes in one's life. BUT the idea that he was a gay man struggling with that is NOT something you can infer from his mental illness and depression. That's your assumption which you then buttress by pointing to the depression as evidence of struggles with sexual identity which are otherwise unevidenced. I'm saying that depression is complicated. Traumatic life experiences may be contributing factors, but often there are other factors including body chemistry and genetics at root and the depression frames how we interpret the life experiences or traumas.

Especially if he’s braking up with his girlfriend over his sexuality or how he’s handling it say through drug or alcohol or sex addiction. Many reason that still stem from the same issue. Not being able to be yourself

Or it has nothing to do with his sexuality. And there are any number of reasons he and gf broke up. You are attempting to shoehorn your conclusion that he was a closeed man into the fact pattern without any direct evidence.

If he's telling people one moment he's straight and at other moments he's bisexual, that's evidence he's struggling with his sexuality. You're projecting too.

And why? You know as much about his medical condition as the person you're villifying.

Villifying? Nothing close. I don't know what his changing statements mean, or whether they were marketing. I do know about mental illness and addictions. On this site, there is an obsession that some have with (often wishful) thinking that every G4P guy is really gay or bi. To go from that assumption to then say it's at the root of a guys mental illness or addictions is a huge leap. In any event, Martavis disclosed that he's trying to get over addictions. I wish him well. It's not easy to do so. Let's hope he's one of the success stories.

Its not really an assumption when the person self discloses that they are bisexual from time to time. Idk why you would assume it's marketing rather than an admission of truth.

If you hope that he heals from his addiction, you should add hope that he is able to find acceptance for his sexuality as well. Im sure being from multiple homophobic machismo cultures, it can't be easy for him working in homosexual porn, even under the unlikely circumstances that he's not somewhere along the spectrum of queerness despite his declarations of bisexuality and abundant engagement in queer behavior.

You're muddying the waters. I'm not quibbling over his orientation. I am saying it's an assumption (a wild one) that struggling with his identity caused his addictions and mental health issues.
