You are right that is not the right word. Perhaps undermining his “talent.” I think most people would agree with me however when I say the guy is not remotely funny

"Most" is a stretch. You do and possibly whoever else liked your post. Definitely respect comedy is subjective but just hate when a personal opinion is posed like it's a fact. I think he's funny. The clips I mostly see are crowd interaction not anecdotes but he's still funny. He definitely also uses his looks tho and to me it's kinda refreshing. It's okay to be hot & funny, he doesn't need to be one or the other or be compensating one for the other
I thought he was funny until I really thought about it, and I probably wouldn’t think he was quite as funny is he wasn’t so incredibly beautiful. He’s still decently funny, but not on the same level as some of the other popular comedians at the moment.

Yeah I certainly get him not wanting to rely solely on his looks so his standup comedy gets noticed but honestly he's not funny in my opinion. I would barely call him a comedian. He's kinda like the guy who's hot that tries to be funny and because he's hot, you laugh at his jokes. Very boring comedy if you ask me. I think he'd do better as an actor.
Yeah I don't think he was bringing him down. I think he's very unfunny as well. He seems like a nice enough guy though. I think he should try acting in a comedy. Standup comedy is far harder than acting in a comedy.

The way he reacts to things, his crowd work and his body language gives off constant "Wedding MC" vibes. A talented MC, for sure. But I kiiiinda understand people who feel like the "comedian" label doesn't fit quite right.
I know for me I've laughed at clips I've seen on TikTok taken from his shows, interviews etc. But actually watching an entire stand up set of his is very different. He's funny (to me) in small bites but my mind starts wandering pretty quick during a full set.
