he hasn't said anything, he doesn't say he is straight or gay. but i think he is gay but he doesn't care because for him it's normal and not special and he is an actor and there is still homophobia to get a good role.

There has been no indication of his sexuality one way or the other so far as I know.
While I understand the assumption he’s gay based on him being a male cheerleader, you have to keep in mind the context that he was a carny growing up. I have to assume he may have gotten a scholarship to school based on his skills in acrobatics and such, which was marketable in the cheer team too.

But I do think the UCLA Spirit Squad is a nice fit for him given a lot of his athletic talents, he's got the flexibility, balance, coordination but also what looks like some decent strength and muscle tone for his frame! And of course he's super-used to performing in front of crowds. Seems like a natural for it!
