I don’t disagree with your point generally, but I do in the specifics of it. Let’s stick with your example (there are just a very select but debatable 9, someone fully 7.5 would have made a better point). Going from 9 down to a slightly less hard of 7.5 is a huge drop. I certainly agree there can be a drop of 1/4-1/2” perhaps. Add on diet (shitty food) and/or weight gain, that could certainly make it, again that drop is about a 17% decrease in size. I don’t see that happening. Maybe +5%ish
