I didn't recieve an official letter from the higher ups, but I guess since they have been talking about revenge porn posts in a lot of the bigger threads , it was probably along those lines. However, if you have more credible in then mine, maybe you can tell us what it was and your source?

I have zero source, it was just my hunch and my own deduction that the OF videos were the cause of the solo thread deletion.

I don't see how revenge porn could have ended up on a "straight male porn star solo" thread... I mean obviously some people post off topic sometimes but the thread wouldn't have been flooded to the point of deleting it entirely I guess ? I was away for a few days when it happened so I might have missed something.

The more logical & plausible explanation to me is the tons of OF videos that were posted there. People probably made copyright claims about them and the admins decided it was simpler to just delete it altogether ? If you have a better explanation be my guest, and if anyone has more info about this I'm eager to know. But you probably shouldn't tell me that "OF videos don't shut down threads" when in the end of the day you don't know anymore than me...

As I posted many threads that were huge were taken down for that reason like the Black enertainers and athletes thread, Christian Hogue anyone thread etc. The same videos and same posters post the same videos from OF to Best Male Poren stars 1 and 2 threads. Did you realize that? Maybe the Best Male solo thread was redundant and decided to just close it. You could always ask why. However, in my experience if they recieve a DMCA notice from a model or rep of that model they take the videos/pics down, but they don't just close the thread or delete it completley. Something big must have happened and it's not simply because it was from OF. There are tons of threads about models from OF and there are many that as soon as something is posted it's removed and the thread still remains.

Theere are threads here that kept getting out of hand and instead of removing the thread they just locked it. Some people have gone on to start new ones and nothing has happened to them ...yet. Best bet is that someone posted something that was really not allowed and it was happening repepatedly. People will know when a thread is being derailed too much and the staff is intervening on a too ferquent basis. But, too just say it's posting OF content is not teh reason, since it's everywhere here and probably the most posted thing on here.

Another thing stated in the past few months is if you label a video with purposeful misspelling (like how people spell porn with a zero instead of the letter o, or reverse the o and r in the same word etc.) would get deleted. That was a common in a lot of threads. It makes it harder for them to find videos to remove, so they have to do it page by page, I'm assuming.

OK but the thread was deleted, not locked.

If it was redudant they could have merged the similar threads. I posted once a new thread and realized afterwards it was redundant, I reported my own post and asked they merged it with the other one, and they did it. The solo thread was several hundred pages long, that's a ton of content that was there, so I don't believe they would have deleted it for such a reason where there's another easy & better solution.

If someone is posting forbidden content repeatedly, don't they just ban that account ? Deleting the thread for that reason makes no sense since the offender is just gonna post his forbidden stuff elsewhere. I don't recall seeing forbidden stuff on the solo thread, only some off topics posts but that happens in every thread since some people seem incapable of reading thread titles. Other threads don't get deleted because of off topic stuff, as far as I can tell..

I really don't wanna come across as confrontational but the explanations you're offering make no sense to me, but it doesn't mean the deletion was necessarily caused by the OF videos of course. But so far you've failed to convince me there's a more plausible explanation.
