I think like most male creators in this space he's "bi" ONLY out of necessity, not because he actually is. And the anger/ combativness stems from him wishing he could make the same amount of money doing straight sex that he makes doing the gay stuff (specifically bottoming) which is where the bulk of his fans/ money are and he resents that fact.
Hes gotten better, but I remember before him being super angry about it and not producing gay content whatsoever claiming his scenes with women were "bi" porn (when obviously him fucking a woman is heterosexual porn).
