I can't find a subtitled episode, it seems as soon as the pods were lifted he got pretty aloof and uninterested in the picker, thus getting rejected next, can anyone help me out if I'm wrong or right there?

As the Italian series has (unexpectedly) wrapped up, my nerdy ass decided to, again, compile some stats for your entertainment. Rumor has it that Season 3 is gonna start in January 2022, no confirmed sources yet, all we know is there’s at least 1 episode that was produced but not aired yet *finger crossed*
Now let’s dive deep into the numbers. (Note: These stats did not include 2 Casting episodes).
With only 2 seasons, NA-Italia already has:
What else can they do? The producers had to arrange the episodes based on the number of casting people. Blame it on shy ladies
(*) In S01E02 and S02E03, there’s 2 special cases. I’m not sure they were non-binary or transgender. In order to be politically correct, I didn’t count them as Men in this number. If you want to count the number of Dicks, please add 2 more.
Below are my own opinions
I think many people will agree that the Italian was the hottest adaptation - a wide variety of men for all tastes. From 155 guys in the main show, I found 68 of them hot/handsome/cute based on my personal preferences (which accounts for nearly 44% – An incredible rate!). Many of them were personal trainers, fitness instructors, or wannabe models. When I did the same thing for the UK series, the rate was around 40%, but I was more generous there.
However, I would say NA Italia failed at:
- Promote body positivity and diversity
Most of the time, you see normal-to-hot bodies, there are not many different types of bodies as in the UK. You may say they did that on purpose to increase ratings, and it’s actually good for our eye candies. However, I think it did not represent what the program was intended to be. If you want to watch the show to feel better about your body image, then don’t. This is where the UK series wins.
- Jokes and naughty bits
I don’t understand Italian so I could be wrong, but I think the Italian series was surprisingly mild, compared to the UK. The most daring thing they did was to let the girls slap the guys’ ass (like it’s a big deal).
In the UK series, they openly discussed bedroom stuff, sexual fantasies, likes / dislikes, and thoroughly talked about private parts. They also did lots of funny stuff like licking ice-cream off the bodies (see Compilation episodes in Season 8). Pretty sure no other adaptation came close to what the UK has done.
I heard that nowadays Italian is more conservative than it used to be, but it made no sense: You literally get naked on a public channel, there’s no point in holding back the discussion, right?
The bottom line is, NA Italia is definitely one of the best things in 2021 for viewing pleasure. FYI they also won Eurovision, Euro Cup, even the Nobel Prize in the same year. What a year!
Let’s hope Discovery+ will add the audio description (or even better – English subtitle) soon, so that we can understand the context better. For now, let’s look forward to Season 3!

Yeah, this was an impossible choice. But if I had to choose, I'd go for the guy on the left with the facial hair. He really looks Polish and I LOVE Polish boys. He must have Polish roots but live in Germany. He has the look that I like the best.
