The last two episodes had him with less screentime due to Ncuti also filming the last season of Sex Education around the same time.

Doctor-lite episodes happened a couple times during RTD's first run, though two in a row is a bit much. At least they were good episodes that made use of another character's perspective.
And those two episodes are Dr Who's higher ratings this season too. Not too high because it's still low compared to before!

It was confirmed on Unleashed that filming for Sex Education impacted Ncuti's availability for those episodes. Both episodes were the first to be filmed for Series 14.
