Normally I'd say if it wasn't an employee, someone's sex life isn't anyone else business besides their partner(s), but Ned built his entire Internet persona around being the wife guy. There was no coming back from that because there was nothing about him to come back to.

the try guys dynamic was already strained from eugene being absent so much, because he'd rather be doing something else and it became worse without ned. keith and zach just can't hold it by themselves, and the other guys they bring in just don't do it to replace ned's or eugene's dynamics. they could try and get jonnybakes to be a permanent fixture and he could be the new resident gay, they seem to have good chemistry with him

Not to start a different tangent, but I resent that an assumption of monogamy is “heteronormative”. It is normal to assume a wholesome appearing couple with children like The Fulmer family, is monogamous, whether they’re a straight or gay couple.
