Nicholas Galitzine

He has to be bi/gay the amount of gay roles he has already for a short career
Well if he IS straight, keeps getting rejected for straight roles, as he has suggested, but keeps getting cast in gay roles, you can imagine him maybe getting a little anxious or paranoid about what it is he is giving of himself that makes him so convincing as gay characters.

Yes, I knew Taylor arrived first, but that makes sense.

If they were together on the red carpet I'm sure they would've said hello and take some pics but timing was off.

AHHH IT MAKES ME SO MAD!

Babygirl has such a great body and such a stunning physique but they keep putting him in these suits that are not properly tailored. His waist looks tiny on that picture though

His pants would've looked a bit better if he had shoes with some insoles or some type of boot, but that was not the case...

Who's his stylist?! They are killing his style!

It really makes it seem like this was something he was not going to attend but then he had to, for contract reasons with Fendi, maybe?
Surely it was a last minute thing & we all saw that lol could be contract reasons but lord no surprise they’re one of the last searched brands in terms of appeal cause if you’re sending out your global ambassador with something he just got from the nearest of your boutiques I think you’re doin it wrong
I do think instead he didn’t have any contractual obligations cause they would surely got him more prepared & better promote the thing on sm, they didn’t even tweeted it & there’s plenty of other ambassadors recent tweets, kinda weird imho
+ today suits are so overrated & boring, men have worn them for centuries & it’s always the same bleak shit, he needs to get creative w Harris reed so he can have an unique custom look, be daring & at the same time still conserve the kinda formal appeal needed for certain events like this (even though the dress code suggested to be original and basically wear whatever you wanted to lol)IMG_7727.jpeg

By the way this interview from where the screenshot I posted comes from has always puzzled me because he talks his character's bisexuality in a much more mature and clearer way than he did in some RWRB interviews where he was throwing cliches about "queer love being similar to straight love", like what? Maybe that was a PR thing...

Yes, it seems like if it wasn't a "last minute thing" (or so we suppose cause we really have no idea) his suit would've been more tailored to his body.

Pity.

The potential he has with that amazing body...

"Queer love being similar to straight love"?

Did he really say that? OMG.

I mean, love is love but...

Yeah, and it was in a OUT magazine interview too, so it's not like he was trying to sell the movie to straight audiences or anything like that, thus it just ends up being kind of an odd quote

“There is a lot of similarity between queer love and straight love,” Galitzine says.

“There’s something completely undeniable about the chemistry of Alex and Henry. The movie even recognizes it when the king of England, played by the amazing Stephen Fry…says, ‘It’s undeniable that the love is genuine.’ I think for people to see queer love portrayed as being the norm, I just really hope it can build bridges, and it can enlighten a lot of people who maybe haven’t grown up around a lot of queer people, who don’t have queer friends or don’t have access to the queer community. That’s the joy of working in the film industry in this day and age: the far reaches that these films can have and the people they can touch.”

Huh, how does he know there is a lot of similarity between queer love and straight love?

I think he meant it in the sense that love is love and that sexuality or the choice of partner doesn't change that fact, but it was phrased oddly...
so he just wanted us to know that he’s experienced both sides of the coin lol

Yeah it was a bit weird how it was phrased, but I also think that he meant it as queer romcoms are not so different from queer ones and love is love.

I also took it that way. Like that was his way of "normalizing" it and saying the emotions and the love you feel are the same regardless of what gender your partner is or something. The whole love is love everyone keeps saying.

so he just wanted us to know that he’s experienced both sides of the coin lol
Lolll yeah I can see how it can be interpreted that way too, it's just that for me I interpreted that he was saying "straight people, don't be scared to watch a movie about two dudes!" which is a pretty odd thing to say in OUT magazine of all places

So, I read that not everybody on the GQ event was invited by GQ itself, and some celebrities were invited by the brand they were wearing. Do you guys think that's what happened with Nick?

Do we think he was invited by Fendi and he had to leave cause he was not invited to the main event and just the red carpet? :emoji_thinking:
So, he was invited by GQ and that Felicity was his stylist.

They look quite different to me. Citti is earthy and street, beautiful yes, but a bit of rough (I think Pasolini had a liking for working class boys). No-one could say that about Nicky. His fine features are not blue collar. Rather, I can see traces of his aristocratic Russian heritage in his face.
Agreed, and anyway Citti was much older in that photo. I couldn't find an earlier one. What I meant was that the Russian nobleboy & the Italian working class kid exude a similar air of debauchery. It doesn't come across in any of Nick's earlier films, but here it does - at least to me.

Huh, was he really invited by GQ? What we discussed about him being invited by Fendi was all crap then? LOL.

I am so confused though; Felicity is styling Ncuti Gatwa and Pablo Mescal, who are always dressed to the nines and this is what we get with Babygirl? I mean, she even works with Kit Connor, who is by no means skinny; he has a burly fit body and his outfits always look great.

Felicity, honey, what happened? :sob::weary_face: Nick, babygirl, what happened?

Not that he looked horrid or anything, but he could've looked more styled...

I feel like it's maybe meant in the context of the paragraph before it? "And while RWRB is indeed a lighthearted popcorn romance, it also has the power to change minds with its joyous portrayal of queer love." Like, he meant it in the context of the movie showing the similarities between queer and straight love, but it was quoted oddly in the article?

Always hard to know with written interviews. :emoji_shrug:

Everyone critiquing the styling, meanwhile I just assumed that was how Fendi meant for it to look... obviously not a big fan of the brand. :joy:
