I know lots of actors..and others in the industry...and even if they don't have a lot of money, they consider it an investment to go out and present to the world that they have this amazing, wealthy, lifestyle. There is literally a young actor I know who has been on a few shows and even has his own thread here....he asked to borrow some money for the summer for his travels. His thought is that he can get himself to some exciting city (the cheapest way possible), and then Instagram the hell out of it...going to pools in other hotels, waterfalls. He believes that keeping visible and acting like he doesn't NEED a gig will motivate people to hire him. Instagram is a total fantasy...you create a totally glam lifestyle for yourself. That is why I never feel bad in comparison...my trips are all paid for....I'm not looking for the perfect location for selfies...their lives might look amazing...but trust me, its a stressful hustle. I know a young manager who went traveling in Europe for the summer because he was evicted from his place for non-payment. Yes, he looks gorgeous in these locations in Morocco, but he is staying in hostels until he can find a way to come back to LA and afford an apartment.

All good points, yes. I would also add that like with models, some hot young actors get a lot of perks, even if their take home pay isn't that great. This includes free vacations in exchange for instagram promotion, being flown around the world to be seen at events, being taken on retreats by their management, etc. Certainly, as others have said, the casting couch DOES exist, but it's not the case every single time.

ok so if he was making fuckall from power rangers, that's gonna raise even more questions about the payment of these holidays.
i just hope he's not one of those influencers who's putting himself into massive debt just to afford a certain lifestyle

I guess having been on Power Rangers and American Horror Story he’d get invited to stuff like conventions. Just looked on Cameo and he charges £39 a video. Not into the whole pay-a-celebrity-to-talk-to-me thing, but that seems quite reasonably priced compared to some others.

Raise more questions? This is LPSG not the US Department of Justice.
