Wow I didn't expect him "coming out" this soon tbh. Good for him. Not exactly a shock to people who have followed him closely lol.

Yeah, I agree….Even though I’m not surprised, him and Kit Connor both coming out as fluid/bisexual within the same week still has my head spinning lol

If this incredibly tame conversation is toxic to you, this is emphatically not the website for you.

Gay/bi/queer people like to support their own. I think knowing that a celebrity is “one of us” makes them inherently more interesting to many of us… and even more worthy of fantasizing about.

"Gay/bi/queer people like to support their own" which is why we should support already out people instead of pressuring someone to come out or insisting that someone has to be part of a community they don't claim. But then, if you are waiting and speculating about someone's sexuality, that seems like a way to make someone's else business about you.

Wait. Who was being Pressured here? I'm genuinely confused.

Y’all are toxic as hell.

The word "toxic" is so overused, it's lost all context and meaning at this point. Speculation about someone's sexual preferences on THIS site is not remotely toxic, since this is a site about sex. People hounding Nico on his own social media accounts for answers? That would be toxic.

Regardless, the speculation is over, Nico has stated his truth, which he didn't/shouldn't have to do but he did. Moving on...

People think what we say on LPSG has profound affects on the actual person. They don't come to this site let alone care what we write lol

But I'm happy for him. Now he can take all the gay roles he wants and everyone can shut up. Also happy to know that ass probably gets ate daily.

He didn't have to do anything. He was asked a question during an interview after making a comment indicating that he was attracted to his male love interests and he offered that info of his own free will without being prompted or pressured into doing so. So... what are you objecting to?

You need to re-read my post. Clearly you didn't understand it. I'm not objecting to anything Nico did, I even said he didn't need to "come out."

What I objected to was the hyperbolic use of the word Toxic in another posters post.

Question: What are the ethical politics when it comes to Gaydar? In my experience, whenever someone, especially a public figure, rings my rainbow bell, and I voice my suspicions of their sexuality aloud, I am often attacked for my assumptions. But then when that person officially comes out, everybody is "not surprised" and gives off the impression that they also suspected that the individual was queer. Lol. Instead of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", it's giving "Don't Say If You Think They're Gay *wink*".

Thanks for the input. It’s always nice to know what other people think.
