Lmao he’s from the Gold Coast, in Queensland we call in LNP Fort Knox (LNP is the Liberal National Party - in Australia Liberal is the Conservative Party, Labor is the Progressive Party). The Gold Coast was purposely built and design to emulate Florida to replicate its tourism success and to say we kinda nailed it is an understatement, because much like modern day Florida, you can’t get more Australian MAGA freaks than in the Goldie.
It’s a shame because he’s clearly part of a culture where he feels heavily pressured to conform, and I hope he gets the opportunity to break free of that before it’s too late (gets married and has kids etc) and he doesn’t live his life in regret.
It’s funny - when he comes up to Brisbane (Queenslands capital, 45 mins north of the Gold Coast, shockingly very very left wing city considering its proximity to the GC), I know he lets loose a lot more because he doesn’t know nearly as many people here that would know his family or circle. I’ve hooked up with him twice and I’m friends with 4 other guys that have done the same at clubs in the Valley (Brisbane’s club district).
I honestly just wish him well and hope he gains his freedom and sense of self.
