Awesome thread. I actually find that most guys, in the presence of similar type of guys (ie: other straight, decently fit, outgoing, etc), are totally cool with being naked, especially if its a very laid back environment. Swimming, boating in certain areas, etc, it's usually totally fine. Add in a few drinks and it's definitely fine/normal. I actually think having women around usually screws up the dynamic and comfort of guys being naked together. Once one dude in a group is cool with it, the others usually break down and are totally cool with it as well. Just what I've seen in real life situations.

I think most of us can relate to the "average guy," because most of us are average. Relating to them gives us a sense of bonding and belonging.
