so actual humans saw that and started mimicking them to try to get engagement too

Thanks for info. It's so weird and scary that bots can get humans to mimic them. Maybe the Dead Internet Theory is right after all. So bizarre. And why? Why would the bots choose "chudai" or "wataa" or any word for that matter? How does that benefit the bot or company, et cetera. (These are rhetorical questions, I'm just thinking aloud.) Anyway, thanks for filling me in!
