Straight actors play gay roles & gay actors play straight roles all the time. Playing a character is literally the job description.

I've followed him for years and I don't think he's straight. he always had a lot of female friends, he was always very private with his personal life and there is a certain old rumor that he and tom austen are dating, he even wanted his character in mr. malcolm list was gay but the director wouldn't let him. even so, I find it very annoying to dictate his sexuality, mainly because he is one of the most reserved actors out there.
