Is it me or does no one seem to watch Surface at all? Apple TV releasing along with Severance each Friday doesn't seem to help. It generates no social media conversation and Oliver's character is fucking awful. The show wastes him tbh.

It's not one of Christie's best. As an adaptation, it's OK. UK period dramas are always beautiful to look at and they've cast well. The best thing is that Oliver Jackson-Cohen's in it a lot and they'll make sure he looks seductive in every scene. Matthew Rhys and newcomer Adam Hugill are in it too, and they're cute, too.

After seeing the scene of him getting that AMAZING hairy chest rubbed, I needed CPR!

The show seems to be divisive on social media and personally, I do think three hour episodes overextends it but at the same time, I'm loving how much of a bastard his character is. Neville's horrible but at least not boring and that chest is a thing of beauty.

I was hoping this would've had more buzz than it did but the last episode didn't even make it into the Top 50 ratings for the week it aired. Oliver was hot in the various looks he had and Neville was a bastard but one of his better roles too.
