I see the Urologist one more time next week for a final consult and to discuss the procedure and my preferences.
I am asking for full frenulum removal, plus the highest and tightest circumcision that is possible.
Looking forward to having no loose skin at all, or any skin bunched up against the glans.
Bring it on - finally!!

That’s a beautiful uncut cock. Looks tasty be interesting to hear about your journey after you have had the procedure done. All the best

Best of luck with your new friend. It's a huge decision on your part, you are in for a few really uncomfortable days. The celibacy part will probably be worse than the initial painful part. But regardless of what the anti-circ folks will tell you, it's cleaner, smells a hell of a lot better, there is no difference in your sexual functioning.

Congrats in advance for your new and improved toy !
Get some elastoplast bandage at pharmascy. (the type you wrap around ankled for sprained angle, brand name differs from country to country).
Once bandage is officiallly off, you can wrap a amall 2cm wide strip around the shaft which protects the scar during the day, and the compression feature keeps swelling down and it also keeps your skin together when moving against underwear during the day. (I asske you have wrong your foreskin retracted so bare glans won't be too much of a problem and you'll just enjoy it).

You can remove elastoplast for shower and put it back on after. (or change it every day). It also helps with nocturnal erection by taking some of the stress off the scar. And if you have stitches, it also keeps stitches still instead of getting caiught uin underwear.

Thank you! Great tip - will do.

I echo what @Hairylegs said. I got circumcised 6 years ago at 21. Like you, I had a normal foreskin; it was a decision dictated by personal preference and circumstance at the time. I was circumcised tightly (no skin bunching up soft), with frenulum removed. The abstinence is the worst part, but you will get over it soon enough. The loss of sensitivity is a myth - if anything, sex has improved because I feel better about my penis. Overall, I am very happy with my decision and I am sure you will be too! All the best!

This is something that I have had on my bucket list for a while. I will mention it to my doctor during my next physical. My skin has been getting tighter and tighter for no reason, I'm still able to pull it back but not as easy before.

I'm not afraid of the procedure itself but the recovery when the anesthisia is gone. I hope you post more pictures.

Good luck.

Could you retract before? If not I’m sure it was extremely sensitive to begin with. How do you keep from getting an erection post-surgery? Did they prescribe something equivalent to the old school claim of saltpeter? I wore a catheter 3 weeks and although it wasn’t a circ I would wake up with morning wood as usual.

Yes, I could easily and fully retract before. I did not have any underlying foreskin issues, bar maybe a moderately tight frenulum, but nothing to prevent full retraction or cause discomfort during sex, just a bit on the tighter side when really pulling down on my foreskin.

They did not prescribe me anything except for advising me to take paracetamol for the first couple of days. I did get a few erections. I was advised to always keep my penis up against my belly and wear tight fitting underwear (briefs or boxer briefs), so that the erection would not press against the underwear too much. It did not hurt per se, it was just a bit uncomfortable, like a tingling sensation around my circumcision scar when the skin was stretched by the erection - kind of like when you sleep on your arm and you wake up when it goes numb and begins to prickle. The erection discomfort subsided after the first week or so.

I think having a catheter in is almost certainly a more uncomfortable situation.

Well I’m glad you had a successful circ on your own terms. I’ve seen some new technology that clamps like 100 mini staples and leave virtually no “Frankenstein” scars haha.
My urologist (just happens to be Jewish) said well it seems you have no issues. The nurse assistant seemed like she’d never seen a foreskin, like when he put the catheter in he asked do you wear your skin up or back. The you nurse looked like the old RCA dog with the head cocked to the side haha.
My colonoscopy doctor also asked about a circ “while you’re under anesthesia” I said no thanks. Not necessary.
I have actually put in my will that if my family has me circ ‘d they don’t get anything.

Thank you! Yes, I am also happy it was on my own terms. They didn’t use staples on mine - those are for deeper wounds I think. I had micro-sutures instead that are absorbed automatically by the body within 10-14 days. There is no visible scar tissue, which is great, but I do have the two-tone look, which I can’t do much about - maybe the only benefit to getting done at birth (assuming you are lucky and don’t end up with a Frankenstein job as you said) is that they tend to not have the two-tone look. My two older cousins were circumcised at birth and you can hardly tell where the incision was made, but as an adult the skin contrast does not fade as much.

I wasn’t aware people push so hardly for it in the US. I am from Britain, where uncut is kind of the norm, but there are plenty of cut ones too, particularly in the South, compared to most other places in Europe I’d say. Based on anecdotal evidence (family, playing sports at Uni), maybe 1 in 4 guys is cut, but I guess it varies widely by demographic and area. Point is most people have seen both at some point and I’ve been aware of the fact that there are two types of penis for longer than I can remember. It never occurred to me as something super strange or so politically charged as it is in the US We don’t tend to chat that much about it. Some guys are cut, others aren’t and it’s a each to their own sort of attitude towards it. Interesting to see such a different perspective across the pond!

Yep, looks liokle your frenulum has to go (or partly go) if you get a circumcision otherwise your glans will be pulled donw during reection.

When is the big date?

Dec 18!!
Bring it on

Circumcision is the dumbest thing a man can do to himself. The transition tissue between the outer and inner skin is by far the most sexually sensitive(by far!), and this tissue gets removed even by minimal circumcision. I would only cut my foreskin for the same reason I would amputate any other bodypart: if I had a tumor growing there, and amputating it is the only thing that could prevent it from spreading to the rest of my body and killing me. And even then, I am not sure if I would do it as losing that exquisitely sensitive tissue is almost as bad as death.

But good luck, though. You are an adult and you know what's best for you. I am only pissed off when they do that to non-consenting underage boys. At the end, we all live and die by our decisions. Or, as in this case, by our fetishes.

Hyperbolising much? I get your point on not doing it to non-consenting babies, but that is not the point of @LukeEUSA ’s post here.

All views are of course welcome, but I am fairly certain almost equating circumcision to death is taking a very exaggerated view, which is quite hard to substantiate in the absence of solid evidence. Plenty of men have been circumcised as adults due to non-medical reasons, myself included, and the experience is far from traumatic, while the outcome is not debilitating, in many cases on the contrary. Whatever scientific research there is on the matter hardly takes such an extreme view either against or for circumcision and I do not remember ever reading something as terrifying as what you described.

I get it we all get emotional over some things, but let’s not make it sound as if our friend here has decided to amputate his arm; let’s try and keep things sensible.

Congratulations...im a huge fan of unessacesry surgery.
The possibility of operative damage...and immense risk of infection....not to mention soft tisuue scaring....
If i could have my healthy tonsils and apendix cut out i'd be in euphoria at the idea that intentionally putting myself in potential hazard.

Yay you.

....and where exactly did I state that is purely elective/cosmetic...?????

You want to be understood....then offer the detais that are associated with your conern that needs to be addressed by circumcision.
You mentiontion skin bunching when soft....pull it back..reroll it forward. Presto.
Looks like your frenulum is quite tight when your erect...are you pulling it in the pic..or its is naturally this strained....that can be cut ...even better cauterized so no stiches or significant scaring or infection...no need for complete removal.

You need to talk to my urologists before passing judgement so strongly.
Cheers!
