I know quite a lot of people on here subscribe to a range of OnlyFans accounts and have a wide-range of opinions about them More than any other site that I can think of.

So, I'm curious what advice people would have for someone who is just starting one? What do people want out of it and what don't people like to see?

Love to hear everyone's opinions on this !!

Not sure if it's even possible on OF, but providing *some* amount of content for free is useful in determining whether one might be interested in subscribing. If I see a link and go to an OF page an there's ZERO content available for free so that I can make an informed decision, I always click away without subscribing. My theory is that if you won't show anything interesting, there's not going to be much terribly interesting behind the paywall. Also making everything an additional fee is the quickest way to get me to unsubscribe.

In short, don't "nickel and dime" everyone for everything... it's a huge turnoff.

I actually use JustForFans. In my experience, you want a mix of stuff, I'd say about 2/3 hardcore sex play and 1/3 erotic (masturbation, shaving) and you as a person (I did one hiking in the woods just showing the scenery and me, shirtless part of the time). I always do trailers/promo clips of my scenes, which can be viewed for free. If you are going to do this, you will need to invest in GOOD quality cameras (at least two) and lighting. I recommend having a guy you know and trust to help do filming. Still mount camera angles get boring very quickly and cell phone picture quality only goes so far. I usually use one free movement camera and one still mount angle so I have choices in my editing. Which bring things neatly to editing: you will need to get and learn how to use software like Adobe Premiere Elements or Apple iFilm. You will need to make connections to find guys to film with. Anytime I film with another content producer, we both get the finished product and debut it on our sites at the same time after releasing promo still pics and trailer clips on our social media. Lastly, you will have to learn how to market yourself and build a following. You will need a Twitter account for that and maintain a presence under your porn name on social media. So be prepared for your life under your real name to end in the gay world. All the guys who know me know me as Jared Erikson and pup Canyon; they have no idea my real name. Anytime I'm out in the gay world, I am my porn persona. And remember, this is not the age of Boogie Nights and William Higgins where only a few dared do pornography. Today, millions of people engage in the sex business and you have to bring viewers something worth spending the money to watch, and keep coming back for--so you have to strike a balance between being visible and not flaming out from over exposure. If you want to see some of my work, I am @JaredEriksonXXX on Twitter and JaredEriksonXXX on JustForFans. I also have done work for other studios, including Natural Born Breeders and KeptSecretXXX I hope this helps. Feel free to post any questions here on anything I left unclear or DM directly. good luck!!! Jared

Hey man, I'm doing decently well on JFF, usually clock within the top 10% and making enough to pay my rent and more at this point...

I have lots of advice but the most important one is just be yourself. People want to see sex tapes, yes, but they can see those for free anywhere of anyone else — it's YOU that interests them. So talk to the camera, show them a bit of yourself, use your other social media accounts to make people fall in love with everything that makes you interesting so they feel they have no choice but to give in an subscribe

Also you, or for any gay or male fans page creators (onlyfans, justforfans or fansly content creators) out there, should hit me up if you like. I manage a very active discord server where it's just amateurs like us exchanging tips/advice and only fans advice, providing support for each other, joking around and of course collaborating and making gayfans content. It's actually open to all male/gay/msm/masc spectrum sex workers of any kind including guys trying to make money off of pornhub or many vids, guys who do gay cams, male escorts and FSSW and gay findom so yeah send me a message if you want access, lots of great information and advice there.
