Has this DRM thing really affected content creators earnings? I really hope it does but just wondering if it's really has an effect . I dont sub to those whom i know have their DRM turned on but I am only 1 person. Even if there is a group i don't know if it's enough for the content creator to eventually realise it wont work
If the Netflix password crackdown proved anything, it's that there's a vocal minority who take a stand, but by and large the rest of the people will still pay. I genuinely thought more people would not subscribe for their own Netflix accounts and I was proved wrong.
So, while I personally would not support a creator who enabled DRM, they are probably doing just fine regardless of my stance.
Netflix literally took a massive hit at one point. And we can't compare Netflix to a porn forum. There are probably way more people who pay for "legitimate" entertainment than adult entertainment. And we probably won't know that someone took a major hit on OF, unless they come out and say so. There is no true tracking for individual OF accounts.
