Has this DRM thing really affected content creators earnings? I really hope it does but just wondering if it's really has an effect . I dont sub to those whom i know have their DRM turned on but I am only 1 person. Even if there is a group i don't know if it's enough for the content creator to eventually realise it wont work

A bit late in responding to this, but I think it undoubtedly has. Just take a look at the "likes" on the posts of guys before and after they turn on DRM. It's often drastically different, which is a sure sign of lost subscribers. I've also seen a clear dip in likes when a creator switches to exclusively PPV. I don't know how they don't recognize it themselves. Maybe they have some high roller fans that are willing to pay the obscene PPV prices enough times to make it worth the loss in subscribers.

The funny thing is, I bet all of the OF creators who are SCREAMING on reddit over the fact that anyone would ever *DARE* download something from their OF most likely post teaser pics and vid clips on Twitter to advertise their OF--all of which can easily be downloaded.

Also, regarding BritishTwunk: There's a kid who deserves our money! If only everyone ran their OF the way he does, we wouldn't be feeling incessantly duped and taken advantage of. He offers a decent discount ($24 for 3 months) too. And if you like BT, Eric Rey (@reyericc) is my other top recommendation. Gorgeous bottom boy with great scene partners, no PPV, and when I brought to his attention that DRM was causing playback issues he was kind enough (and smart enough) to disable it after some consideration. So thank you to beautiful Eric! These are two boys I'll be throwing money at until the end of days.

Love BritishTwunk. Just disappointed that he only (rarely) posts watersports content in PPVs on JFF now. He claims it was because people were complaining about it being in the main feed, but they were always his most liked and commented on videos (and the reason I subscribed in the first place). Oh well ... the rest of his content is amazing too.

Got to disagree a little re: @bywayofiker. Yes there's DRM, and yes the long videos are only available by DM. But, as far as photographer sites go, his content is one of the best I've found. And he does send out new full length videos weekly if you're renew is on. The PPVs are reasonably priced and often on sale. I'd never advocate subscribing to someone with DRM on, but if you can find a work around (or deal with it), its not bad content.

Everybody, here are different tools to bypass DRM:

1. GitHub - sim0n00ps/OF-DL: C# console app to download all of the media from Onlyfans accounts with DRM video downloading support

It’s complicated geeky technical stuff, but I can confirm it works. I had somebody help out with it, and the videos played fine after download.

That said, DRM is really a pain! I can somehow understand why Netflix would have it in place, but OnlyFans? DRM only truly hurts those like us willing to support content creators. Those (the majority) who would never pay for such content will simply look for free stuff and not be bothered by it. As for JustForFans, downloading is still possible via the playlist method.


Also… Brace yourselves! Tons of content creators (in comments and likes) bashing, raging and freaking out at paying consumers like us who wish to download for our own private use only. Terrible! They really believe it’s only all a rental to only be streamed straight from the site, even if it’s an expensive PPV or custom video.

The OP is quite foul, I find, exposing and bashing "a loyal and kind fan since day one, always tipping generously" in such crude manner. Here's the thread.

I find viewing the scenes in one’s own media player more practical if I truly like the scene and want to view certain parts in a loop, resize the player and have other media on the screen at the same time, etc.

That subreddit woke me up to the fact that so many OnlyFans "creators" are morons, hurting themselves by staying in their own echo chamber thinking they now how to be succesful. So much terrible advice on that sub (and others like it). So much bashing of their subscribers. And they actively ban anyone from commenting who isn't a fellow creator.

It's the epitome of what is wrong with most OF creators. They come up with the most inane ideas, and share it with each other (thinking they are genuises), and are hostile to any feedback from their actual paying customers. PPV exclusive is a terrible business idea. PPV + DRM will destroy their pages. But they all do it because they've all told themselves it is the best way to make money (and accurately represents their "true worth") and will not listen to anyone else.

To add to this, the DRM is on for all JFF pages and it doesn't matter if it's after a certain time period for the upload like how OF is anything uploaded after April 2023 is DRM protected. With JFF ALL of the uploads are DRM protected

Last I checked, the basic player does not allow 1080p downloads. The playlist method allows 1080p downloads.

The other day, I had some guy on Reddit who just started his OF last month rage out against me because I said $20 is too much of a price when you only have 10 posts, no videos or showing face, when I was on a free trial of his. He was going on about how content is on the way which is why he’s charging $20 and then said if I’m such an expert, why don’t I create my own page or manage other people’s. Thats when I unliked everything and then blocked him.
So many people look at onlyfans as a quick cash grab and it really says a lot about the platform itself.

Update: this guy is still charging $20 and has not made any new posts since late September. This is also since getting mad at me in my DMs because I said that his page isn’t giving people their money’s worth.

I actually do have an Android device available but it's the DRM-enabled vids I'm needing to get...I can already download the ones that don't have it enabled. There's nothing more frustrating to me than watching a super hot OF vid THAT I PAID FOR and not be able to download/keep it.

Same for me when I purchased a vid from alexjones420xxx, then started noticing that all his new content he was posting even the teasers were all DRM. No longer subscribed to him, now my favorite alecnysten is doing the same now.

DRM makes it impossible to download or screen record videos. It also makes the video play in low quality and stutter. I believe it affects airplay like streaming on a tv but I never tried that feature.
